Our journey started in the summer of 2022. To form the Silver Hornets, we recruited some of our peers with varying STEM experience levels. Together, we all formed the Silver Hornets. Our mission statementis Adhere to the FIRST core values and promote STEM awareness level and spread the benefits of STEM.  

To accomplish this goal, we did many outreaches bot​h face-to-face and virtual to connect with people across the world. To represent our domestic impact, we hosted many fundraisers such as plastic drives, toy donation drive, food donation, bake sales to raise money for charity, and for STEM related we hosted CAD workshops to kids of all ages, a robot demonstration in the Cranbrook Science center, and more. To represent our foreign impact, we connected internationally to organize a talent show fundraiser, we hosted a Demo to a school in rural India and Brazil promoting STEM and FIRST robotics worldwide. We also connected with many industry professionals and FRC mentors to enhance our knowledge of STEM. 

We aspire to continue doing these projects as a team in the coming years. No matter how far we reach in robotics, we will always be associated with the Silver Hornets, a team which we founded as middle schoolers. We look forward to future seasons in which we can grow and expand our STEM knowledge and create a bigger impact with FIRST. Thank your FIRST for this wonderful opportunity!
